Flameshield
Retardent Finish for Fabrics
A spray applied organic phosphate dry clean durable flame resistant
finish the imparts flame retardant properties to all fabrics and other
fibrous materials such as paper, wood etc.
Particulalry suitable for curtain's and drapes in public areas where
it will satisfy requirements of BS5867 part 2 Type B.
Supplied in 500ml spray bottles or 5-20 litre containers.

Testing & Application
Although ECO-FLAMESHIELD is safe and generally has no adverse
effects on fabrics, it is essential for best results to test its reaction
on an inconspicuous (non-visual) portion of fabric i.e. curtain seam,
tent or awning wall etc.
How to use

Shake
container well before use |
|
Hold
spray approx. 20cm (8 inches) away from fabric |
|
Spray
onto an inconspicuous part of fabric and allow to dry |
|
Check
fabric for shade changes or other undesirable reactions to the
fabric. If any are onserved do not proceed any further |
|
If
application test is successful continue to coat complete area
of fabric to be protected |
|
Also
suitable for timber and paper products |
|
Apply
evenly so that the fabric is damp to touch |
|
Ensure
that the solution is absorbed by the substrate by sponging the
surface |
|
Allow
to dry naturally |
Coverage
This
is dependent on the weight and type of fabric obviously heavier fabrics
will require higher application weights.
Technically the desired treatment will result in a coverage of between
4 and 8 square meteres per 500ml spray bottle.
